Description

Tony Hillerman Skeleton Man — Signed First Edition HC 2004

Skeleton Man is the eighteenth and penultimate novel in Tony Hillerman's celebrated Leaphorn and Chee mystery series — set across the Navajo Nation and the canyon country of the Four Corners. Published by HarperCollins in 2004, this hardcover first edition carries Hillerman's full signature on the title page, authenticated by the publisher's gold "Signed First Edition" foil seal on the dust jacket. The dust jacket art features a Hopi kachina figure and the geometric imagery that defined the series' visual identity. The copyright page confirms the first printing, with the complete number line reading down to "1."

Hillerman, a New Mexico native and longtime Albuquerque resident, won the Edgar Award and was named a Special Friend of the Dineh by the Navajo Nation — accolades that give signed copies of his work genuine collector standing in the regional market and beyond.

CONDITION

Good. The text block is clean and tight with no markings, foxing, or damage. The dust jacket shows light handling wear — minor scuffing to the silver ground — consistent with shelving rather than reading use. Signature is bold, unsmudged, and clearly legible.
