Vintage Wool Carders & Hackle Fiber Prep Set
A wonderful, authentic set of traditional fiber tools, featuring two curved wool carders and a matching wool hackle (also known as a hatchel). The carders are fitted with dense metal carding cloth, designed to gently tease and align wool into soft, workable rolags, while the hackle’s long steel tines are ideal for straightening and refining longer fibers. Crafted with solid wood backs and handles, these pieces reflect classic workshop construction and time-tested design.
Condition:
Good condition overall with signs of use consistent with age. The hackle shows some chipping on the verso, and both carders have personalized markings on the back. Metal pins and tines remain intact and functional, with minor fiber residue present.
