Signed Original Mixed Media Landscape with Decorative Border on Paper
An original mixed media composition on deckle-edge paper depicting a stylized landscape: a deep violet body of water set against a luminous amber sky, flanked by sage-green foliage and a foreground of textured grasses with scattered dark blossoms. The central scene is bordered by hand-painted decorative panels — a checkered grey upper register, a teal checkered lower register, and side panels of intricate woven linework, anchored at each corner by gilt-toned roundels on indigo grounds.
Signed in pencil at the lower right (signature partially legible). Presented under glass in a solid quarter-sawn oak frame with a wide white mat backing the natural deckle edges of the sheet.
CONDITION
Good overall with strong color saturation and an intact, untrimmed deckle edge. Minor surface specks within the painted field appear intentional to the mixed media technique. Frame and glass present cleanly with light handling marks consistent with age.
