Handcrafted Copper & Brass Triangular Mirror Box with Articulating Crystal Prism
An unusual artisan-made object combining a triangular mirrored prism box wrapped in hand-formed copper with applied beadwork and organic detailing, accented by a polished brass arm. The brass support terminates in a faceted lead crystal pendant that both spins on its axis and travels up and down via a threaded brass cap finial, throwing refracted light across the mirrored surfaces.
Construction is unmarked and consistent with studio metalwork, the copper showing tool marks and free-form repoussé detailing along the long edges. Mirrored panels line the long top face and both triangular ends, creating an internal optical chamber for the suspended prism.
CONDITION
Very Good. The copper retains a warm polished surface with light handling marks, and the brass shows mellow patina with no significant tarnish. The mirrors display minor edge oxidation and a few small surface specks; the crystal prism is clean with no visible chips.
