International Silver “Silver Iris” Sterling Flatware – 44 Pcs, Service for 10–12
This elegant 44-piece sterling silver flatware set was produced by the esteemed International Silver Company. Introduced in 1955, the “Silver Iris” pattern features pierced, sculptural floral handles inspired by the graceful form of the iris flower—a hallmark of mid-century American silver design. Each piece is marked “Sterling” and bears the “Silver Iris” name.
International Silver, founded in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1898, combined the expertise of leading New England silversmiths and quickly rose to prominence as a manufacturer of both sterling and silver-plated wares. The “Silver Iris” pattern stands out for its substantial weight and intricate Art Nouveau-style floral detailing, making it a sought-after collectible today.
