About the Artist:
Fred Fellows, born in Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1934, found early inspiration in his family's tales of the Old West and his aunt's artistic pursuits in Taos, New Mexico. Transitioning from saddlemaking and cowboy life to art, Fellows forged a career that seamlessly blended his love for the West with his artistic talents. Joining the Cowboy Artists of America in 1969, he became one of its longest active members, earning accolades including Gold and Silver medals for his drawings, sculptures, and paintings. In 2007, Fellows received the esteemed CAA Award for the best overall exhibition, a testament to his enduring impact on Western art. Alongside his achievements, Fellows takes pride in his wife, Deborah, an accomplished sculptor whose recognition includes induction into the National Cowgirl Hall Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas.
