About the Artist:
Michael Nail, a native of New Mexico, has called Las Cruces his home for the past three decades. With no formal education in art, Michael is largely self-taught, harboring a deep-rooted love for drawing and painting since childhood. It wasn't until his retirement from a senior construction inspector role with the City of Las Cruces that he was able to dedicate himself fully to his artistic pursuits. Specializing in pencil, charcoal, and ink, Michael is captivated by Western, Native American, and wildlife themes, which are recurrent motifs in his work. His passion for these subjects is evident in the intricate details and emotional depth of his pieces.
