Description

1970s David Stewart "Cat" Planters

David Stewart is a California artist known for his studio pottery, as well as his line of mass-produced stoneware pottery. The Lion’s Valley pottery line was designed by Stewart and produced in Mexico in the 70s. It includes much different whimsical bird and animal-shaped pots, all using the same recognizable combination of unglazed stoneware and a speckled cream-colored glaze. His work is widely collected today.
