A wonderful example of the collectible factory-produced wall art used across the country in mid-century homes. This large wall piece was made by American Art Industries in the 50s or 60s. The southwestern theme painted images are enhanced with wood veneer, burlap fabric, and paper. A partial label from the back has been preserved: “An Original American Art Creation, American Art Industries Inc, Miami Fla.” This decorative art company was in business from 1956-86. Because these collage art pieces aren’t under glass, it can be hard to find them without some obvious surface wear.
