About the Artist:
Woody Crumbo was a member of the Potawatomi tribe of Oklahoma. He was orphaned at the age of six and spent the remainder of his childhood living with a number of other Native American families. He began exhibiting and selling his work in the 1930s and was a strong advocate of Native American art throughout his career.
