The Beatles “Yesterday and Today” LP – Capitol ST-2553, Rainbow Label, 1976 Stereo, Trunk Cover
This is a 1976 U.S. stereo pressing of Yesterday and Today by The Beatles, released by Capitol Records (ST-2553). Featuring the recognizable “trunk cover” artwork and Capitol’s bold rainbow colorband label with “Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc.” rim text, this edition hails from the final years of the label’s iconic design before transitioning to the solid purple label. The front bears the “New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo” banner, and the back showcases promotional images of other Capitol Beatles titles.
A U.S.-exclusive compilation, Yesterday and Today collects key tracks like “Drive My Car,” “Nowhere Man,” and “Day Tripper” — several of which did not appear on UK LPs at the time. Known for its release history surrounding the withdrawn “butcher cover,” this album remains a popular collector’s item in all variants.

Vinyl is in excellent condition with no visible scratches and retains strong luster. Labels are clean and fully intact. Outer sleeve is in good to very good condition with some minor chipping along the spine and light shelf wear to edges. Inner sleeve is present.
