Russell Sam Navajo Horsehair Pottery Vase — Sun Face Design, 9.5"
This vibrant pottery vase is hand-signed by renowned Navajo artist Russell Sam, known for his intricate horsehair pottery techniques. Mold-cast and meticulously hand-painted, the vase features striking Sun Face motifs in hues of violet, lavender, and blue—symbols of harmony and life in Navajo culture. A vivid etched band in red, green, and cream encircles the base, enhancing its Southwest aesthetic.
Characteristic black veining from the horsehair firing process adds an organic, smoky finish. A superb blend of tradition and artistry, this piece is both decorative and collectible.
Signed on the underside: “Russell Sam / Navajo.”
