Description

Our local friend Sib Strange donated this vintage print that she has had for quite a number of years. Sib bought this print in Colorado in 1989. There is a description of the artist on the back of this framed print. See the closeup photos to see more details of this fine print, including the title and signature by the artist. This nicely detailed print has brought pleasure for many years, and needs to be hung in an art or Colorado lover's home to be enjoyed for many more years to come. Although we were unable to find much information about the artist M.G. “Pat” Patterson or his art, some artist friends estimate the value of this framed vintage print to be $100-$150.

About the Artist:
M.G. “Pat” Patterson

In searching the internet for Pat Patterson, we were able to find very little information, so we are sharing the info from the artist card on the back of the framed print. “Pat Patterson is a Colorado artist who has been doing local scenes in watercolor and pen and ink for over 30 years. His work hangs in private and corporate collections in every area of the USA, as well as in France, Germany, and Canada. His work as a watercolorist has taken him to France, Italy, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Caribbean, as well as most areas of this country. He is an Illinois native and a graduate of the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Pat was an artist with the US Navy during World War II, and came to Denver from Seattle, where he was art director for a printing firm. In Colorado he has been involved in Advertising – Fashion Art – Book Illustration and store and office design. He also has designed numerous custom homes in the Denver area.”

Condition:
Good - this piece is in great shape considering its age. However, the back of the framed print is rife with years of moth markings (see photo).
