Sib Strange is a cat lover and a longtime friend, and earlier in her life she was an ardent needle-pointer. In fact, Sib says that her needlepoint is what kept her sane while raising her son (and husband)! She was very kind to donate several of her art pieces to benefit 1CaT, and we are most grateful. Sib has been a 1CaT supporter for quite a while. Although she hasn’t done any needlepoint in many years, Sib was an avid needlepointer in the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s. Most evenings during those years, she would work on some art piece that she was into at that moment. As she stated, “Doing needlepoint kept me sane during those years of working full time and raising my family.” She created many, many needlepoint pieces, and now she is sharing several of her prized art with 1CaT. Thank you, Sib, for your kindness and generosity to our kitties! Sib’s needlepoint art pieces are well done and nicely framed, so each piece is timeless. Some artist friends estimate the value of this framed vintage needlepoint to be ~$75-$100. [lg.]
