Amy’s explanation of her heart rattles goes like this : “The hearts are cut by hand from a slab of earthenware clay. No pattern is used, so they are one of a kind. It takes two hearts to become one heart rattle, just like you and your partner/friend. Inside the hollow heart body are little clay balls that make a slight rattle sound when you shake it, making your heart sing. When we first asked Amy Zander to send us a few of her art pieces, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Amy is a wonderfully cool and crazy woman, and a talented artist in several different mediums – ceramics, glass fusing, painting, photography and others. Knowing nothing about us, Amy checked out our website and saw that we do TNR for feral cats. Being an animal lover herself, she decided to send some goodies for our kitties – toys, treats, and other fun kitty gifts. Our kitties were thrilled!😻 We realized then that we would have a long, wonderful relationship with Amy and her art!❤️ Amy enjoys making things that make people smile – and she is very good at it! As she states, “Art is the way that we can share our soul with everyone.”
