"Mayan Lidded Dish", Slab-Built Ceramic View Watchlist >
with Decorative Clay Coils & Glaze by Gloria Villaverde
This fun and unique lidded dish was created and titled “Mayan Lidded Dish” by part-time Cloudcroft resident Gloria Villaverde. She hasn’t done much art for several years, but she was very kind and donated four pieces of her art to help 1CaT, and we are very grateful. This lidded dish started as slabs of clay, then those pieces were shaped, fired and glazed. The cool spirals decorating the lid were created by making coils of clay, and attaching them to the clay lid. The nice blue glaze color is not truly represented in the photo – the color is much nicer in person. This lidded dish is unique, and may be used for whatever purpose you can find. Check out the photos to see some details of Gloria’s “Mayan Lidded Dish”. The estimated value of Gloria's cool piece is $50.
