Vintage Carroll Southwest Landscape Pottery Vase
This sculptural studio pottery vase, signed “Carroll 12-89”, presents a bold and stylized interpretation of the Southwestern landscape. The circular form is carved and painted with a vibrant desert skyline scene, featuring mesas, clouds, cacti, and a prominent pierced sun or moon motif. The composition wraps around both sides, giving the piece full 360° visual interest. Executed in richly textured matte glazes with earthy tones of terracotta, sky blue, ivory, and green, this handmade ceramic work exudes a strong regional character.
