Description

WWII-Era Red Jerry Can – Steel, 18½" Tall, “G” Marked

WWII-era red-painted steel Jerry can, featuring the classic embossed “X” reinforcement on both sides and marked with a raised “G.” This robust design, originally developed for military fuel transport, includes the distinctive three-handle configuration and hinged locking cap.

The can exhibits a rich, aged patina with flaking paint, oxidation, and minor dents that speak to its long service life. Measuring 18½ inches tall, it makes a compelling collectible or industrial accent. Though untested, the cap mechanism is intact, and the container is empty.

An iconic utilitarian relic from the mid-20th century, suitable for military enthusiasts, prop use, or vintage décor.

Condition

In good vintage condition overall, with visible wear including scratches, dents, scuffs, and surface rust consistent with age and use. Structurally intact, with latch present and some oxidation on metal components. Sold empty.
