Mid-Century Studio Pottery Fountain — Hammered Copper Base
A compelling mid-century modern studio pottery fountain, this sculptural ceramic work features cascading spill bowls set into a hammered copper basin. The piece separates into three modular components: two ceramic sculptural towers and a large copper catch basin, making for easier transport and display. Crafted in earthy tones with expressive glaze work, the ceramic elements vary in height and exhibit hand-built character with drip glazes and organic contours.
The hammered copper basin, roughly 32 inches in diameter, anchors the piece with rich patina and jagged, sculptural edges. Designed as a cascading fountain, water would travel from the tallest spout down through the bowls—simply add a pump to restore full functionality.
A dramatic and decorative statement for indoor or outdoor settings, this fountain is a fine example of organic modern design. Pictured beside a life-size Bob Ross cutout (6'2") for scale.
Condition
Good overall with visible signs of use. Mineral deposits and natural glaze wear consistent with age and prior water use. The copper basin shows patina and oxidation. No major structural damage noted. Add a pump to restore full fountain functionality. Please review all photos.
