Heritage Perennian Slat-Top End Table — 1950s Walnut & Wormy Chestnut
This authentic mid-century end table hails from Heritage Furniture’s rare Perennian line, produced in the late 1950s just before the company's merger with Drexel in 1957 . Crafted from a refined blend of walnut and wormy chestnut—a material prized for its distinctive grain and historical scarcity due to the chestnut blight —the table features a slatted top, tapered octagonal legs, and a single drawer with a softly polished brass pull. The lower shelf offers 10 inches of clearance, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The Perennian line is noted for bridging traditional and modern design elements, drawing inspiration from Danish furniture while maintaining Heritage's classic craftsmanship.
Condition:
In good vintage condition, exhibiting light finish wear and minor surface marks consistent with age. The drawer operates smoothly, and the structure remains solid and stable.
