Description

Olga Quezada Mata Ortiz Pot—Signed Geometric Design

A finely crafted Mata Ortiz pottery vessel by Olga Quezada, part of the renowned Quezada family of Northern Mexico. This hand-coiled and burnished pot features a striking black-and-red geometric pattern of interlocking X-motifs across a symmetrical, rounded form. The design is expertly rendered, showcasing both technical precision and traditional aesthetic.

Signed “Olga Quezada” on the underside, this piece reflects the distinctive Mata Ortiz style inspired by ancient Paquimé pottery but reinterpreted through a modern lens. An excellent addition to any collection of Southwestern or contemporary indigenous ceramics.
