Heritage Grand Tour Breakfront Sideboard — Solid Wood, 76" Wide

A stately breakfront sideboard from the Heritage Furniture “Grand Tour” collection, reflecting the refined neoclassical styling that defined this mid-20th century line. With fluted pilasters, rosette medallions, recessed paneling, and a warm cherry finish, this piece is both functional and richly detailed.

Expertly crafted from solid wood, this sideboard includes four top drawers with full dovetail construction, one of which is felt-lined—ideal for silverware or valuables. Below, each double-door cabinet conceals an additional dovetail drawer and an adjustable/removable shelf, providing versatile storage options. Brass ring pulls and knobs complement the classic profile. Mounted discreetly on casters, it offers surprising mobility for a piece of this scale.

A well-proportioned piece for dining rooms, entryways, or offices, this sideboard captures the enduring appeal of Heritage’s craftsmanship—made to last and designed to impress.

About the Maker: Heritage Furniture

Founded in the early 20th century and later operating under the umbrella of Drexel Heritage, Heritage Furniture became known for producing high-quality, traditionally styled case goods and formal furnishings. The company earned a reputation for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and use of solid wood construction paired with elegant veneers.

The “Grand Tour” collection—from which this piece hails—was inspired by European neoclassical design, particularly French Empire, English Regency, and Italian Renaissance motifs. These pieces are known for their carved rosettes, fluted pilasters, symmetrical balance, and warm wood finishes—blending American quality with Old World aesthetics.

While Drexel Heritage ceased operations in the 2010s, its furniture remains highly collectible for its durability, period styling, and timeless elegance. Pieces from the Grand Tour line in particular are prized by interior designers and collectors seeking statement-making traditional forms that are both usable and ornamental.

Condition:

In good condition overall, with signs of regular use. There are scattered surface scratches, minor veneer chips (particularly near the base corners), and finish inconsistencies typical of age. One lower edge has a visible repair, with slightly mismatched touch-up work (see close-up photos). All drawers and doors function properly, and the structure remains sturdy.

Dimensions:

Overall: 32.5" H x 76" W x 19" D

A distinguished and functional piece from Heritage’s collectible Grand Tour series—seldom seen in this configuration with full interior drawers and shelving. A beautiful addition to any traditional or transitional setting.

Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire a signature piece from a renowned American maker.
