Late 19th-Century Belgian Oak Sideboard – Ball & Claw Feet
This substantial 19th-century Belgian oak sideboard exemplifies the craftsmanship of the era, featuring bold ball-and-claw feet, four hand-cut dovetailed drawers with carved fronts, and two paneled cabinet doors—each with a removable shelf offering 10.5 inches of interior height. The top is framed by an arched backboard with carved floral motifs, and the entire body is trimmed with decorative beading and gadrooning. Brass rosette pulls and drop handles complement the warm oak tones and quarter-inch veneer paneled back.
Comparable pieces from the same period highlight the enduring appeal and value of such craftsmanship. This sideboard serves as both a functional storage solution and a statement piece, ideal for dining rooms or grand hallways.
