Floral Tigua Pueblo Cross – Signed by Albert Alvidrez
This hand-painted ceramic wall cross by Albert Alvidrez, a respected artist from the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (Tigua), features a symmetrical floral motif composed of turquoise leaves and rust-colored dotted accents. The soft curvature of the leaves and central pinwheel-style blossom create a dynamic yet balanced composition, framed by bold black edging. The reverse bears his signature in black ink. Designed with two holes on the back for wall hanging, this piece represents a powerful intersection of tradition and personal expression. Alvidrez is widely recognized for preserving and evolving Tigua pottery traditions through hand-crafted and painted ceramics rooted in cultural storytelling. A compelling and collectible example of contemporary Pueblo art.
