Cactus Lamp by Charles Gibilterra for Modeline — Solid Oak, 3-Light, 1970s
An iconic sculptural “Cactus” lamp designed by Charles Gibilterra for Modeline, circa 1970s. This bold table lamp features three glowing orb fixtures branching from a central 2.5-inch diameter column, all crafted in solid oak with a warm natural finish. The rounded, stylized form recalls the silhouette of a saguaro cactus—organic yet architectural. A rare piece of American modern design, this lamp embodies the handmade elegance of the California modern movement. Comes equipped with an inline dimmer switch and three evenly spaced arms, each capped with a frosted glass globe. A sculptural lighting statement ideal for collectors of mid-century, rustic modern, or postmodern design.
Condition:
In good condition with visible wear consistent with age. Scuffing and finish loss to the wood in several areas, along with scuffs and light surface marks on the glass globes. Fully functional and tested, with the inline dimmer working as intended. Please review all photos for condition details.
