Dansk Variation V Flatware & Teak Mill Set – Jens Quistgaard Design, c.1960s
This mid-century modern Dansk Designs set includes 19 pieces of stainless steel flatware from the “Variation V” line and a sculptural teak salt and pepper mill, all designed by Jens Quistgaard. The flatware comprises 15 appetizer forks (4.5") and 4 demitasse spoons (4.75"), each housed in its original red felt-lined box. The utensils feature the sleek, minimalist design characteristic of Quistgaard's work, with slender handles and a satin finish . The accompanying 7-inch teak salt and pepper mill showcases Quistgaard's innovative approach to everyday objects, blending functionality with sculptural form. Crafted from richly grained teak, the mill is marked “Dansk Designs Ltd. Denmark IHQ” on the base, indicating its authenticity and origin .
Condition:
Overall in good vintage condition. The teak mill has a visible stain on the top and light finish wear but remains structurally sound and retains its aesthetic appeal. The original boxes show some handling wear but are intact.
