Dr. Peters Kuriko 9", N.M. College Milk & Mrs Stewart's – 3 Vintage Bottles
This three-piece lot captures over half a century of American packaging.
- Dr. Peters “Kuriko” patent-medicine bottle (9 in.)—rectangular with rounded corners, deeply embossed “DR PETERS / KURIKO” on one panel and “MADE BY DR P. FAHRNEY, CHICAGO, ILL. U.S.” on the reverse; an early-1900s cure-all marketed for coughs and colds.
- New Mexico College A & M half-pint dairy (5.25 in.)—heavy rolled lip and bright red applied-color graphic; the school became New Mexico State University in 1958, dating this bottle to the 1940s-50s collegiate-promotion era.
- Mrs. Stewart’s Bluing bottle (5.5 in.)—sturdy cylinder embossed “MRS STEWART’S”; this nationally famous laundry whitener has been produced since 1883, and the present screw-top form is typical of the 1930s-40s.
Condition
Good, with age-appropriate scratches, interior haze and mineral stains. Dr. Peters bottle has a 0.5-inch rim chip; other two carry minor flea bites only. No cracks. Please examine photos for details.
