M.J.A. Laguna Pueblo Pot — Signed, Hand Painted & Carved Slip Mold
Signed pottery vessel by M.J.A., an artist from Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico. Made using a slip mold and enhanced with hand-painted and carved details, the piece features a deeply recessed pueblo village scene framed in red slip and surrounded by traditional black-and-white geometric motifs. A stylized bird and starburst pattern further highlight the Pueblo aesthetic.
Though mold-formed, the decoration is applied entirely by hand, demonstrating care and craftsmanship. The underside is clearly signed: M.J.A. Laguna, N.M.
An engaging blend of traditional symbolism and modern technique—ideal for collectors of Native American or Southwestern art.
