Description

Century 1952 Mid-Century Dresser — Cedar Lined, 7 Drawers, As Is

A 1952 highboy dresser by Century Furniture, known for quality American craftsmanship. This substantial mid-century piece features clean lines, tapered block feet, and a softly bowed upper profile—hallmarks of the era’s modernist aesthetic. Constructed from solids and veneers, it includes seven dovetailed drawers: two small, one wide, and four full-width, all lined with aromatic cedar. Original aluminum drawer pulls with a brass-toned finish remain intact. The interior is marked “Century,” and the rear panel is factory-stamped with the date 5-13-52.

This dresser represents authentic mid-century design with functional appeal. Its cedar lining, sturdy structure, and vintage detailing make it ideal for restoration or stylish reuse.

Condition:
In fair condition overall, showing scratches, scuffing, stains, and significant finish wear. Veneer is chipped at the lower front and lower left side, and the top shows signs of wear. The piece remains structurally solid with fully functional drawers. Offered as is—an excellent candidate for restoration or upcycling.
