Description

1930s–40s Mexican Sterling Bracelet – Bead & Shell, 6.25" Circ, 51.71g

Early Mexican sterling silver bracelet, dating to the 1930s–1940s, showcasing a striking sculptural design of repoussé domed beads and stylized clam shell forms. Though unmarked, the piece has tested positive for sterling silver and exhibits craftsmanship consistent with the Taxco silver renaissance. The segmented construction gives it a dynamic, articulated form, while the high-relief surface delivers bold visual impact.

This bracelet is fitted with a secure box clasp and safety chain and is comparable in style and presence to early works by artists like Antonio Pineda or Margot de Taxco, making it a desirable example of pre-midcentury Mexican silver artistry.

A rare collector’s find and a substantial vintage statement piece.

Condition

In good vintage condition. There is a visible dent and scattered minor indentations throughout, mainly on the raised bead elements. The silver has a natural patina and oxidation; polishing has been left to the buyer. Clasp functions well and includes the original safety chain.
