Commercial Aluminum Cookware Co. 3-Pc Set — Toledo-Made Originals
A three-piece vintage cookware lot by the Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company of Toledo, Ohio, the original maker that later introduced the renowned Calphalon brand. Included are:
- #G1211HC: Square pan, 11" x 11"
- #GR1208HC: Round griddle, 9" diameter
- #G1213HC: Round fry pan, 13" diameter
Each piece is made from heavy-gauge aluminum with riveted handles, engineered for professional kitchen use. The “HC” designation refers to the company’s groundbreaking hard-coated (hard-anodized) finish, developed in the late 1960s and prized for durability, heat distribution, and resistance to corrosion.
Commercial Aluminum, founded in 1963 in Toledo, pioneered this cookware innovation, which became the Calphalon line in 1968. Pieces stamped with the early Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company mark represent the brand’s pre-Calphalon era, making them both functional tools and collectible examples of mid-20th century American kitchen history.
