Large Prehistoric Stone Hand Axe, 8" Bifacial Tool, “Burch” Label
This large bifacially flaked stone hand axe measures 8 inches long by 4 inches wide and weighs 1 lb 10 oz. The form and workmanship align with prehistoric tool traditions, offering a substantial example of early stone tool technology.
A remnant adhesive label with handwritten notation “Burch” is present on one side, suggesting prior cataloging or inclusion in a reference collection. Its size, craftsmanship, and collection history make it both an engaging study piece and a distinctive display item for collectors of early artifacts.
