Vintage Navajo Rolled Turquoise & Coral Necklace – Sterling Silver Bench Beads, 16"
A vintage Navajo necklace featuring beautifully graduated rolled turquoise beads ranging from 4.4 mm to 7.62 mm, accented by two small 2.8 mm coral stones near the clasp. The design is anchored by three larger rolled turquoise drops at the center, measuring up to 23.8 mm in length, each displaying rich blue hues with natural dark matrix. Sixteen sterling silver bench beads (5.75 mm each) add balance and contrast, all strung on cotton cord and secured with a traditional hook clasp.
Unmarked but tested sterling, this piece reflects mid-20th century Navajo craftsmanship, when rolled turquoise and “Navajo pearl” bench beads were hallmarks of Southwestern jewelry. With its organic stone forms and classic silver detailing, this necklace exemplifies the enduring artistry of Navajo silversmiths.
