A bold vintage Navajo sterling silver cuff set with five bezel-mounted turquoise cabochons from the famed Lavender Pit in Bisbee, Arizona. Each stone shows the mine’s classic deep blue hues with dramatic chocolate-brown to black matrix and flecks of pyrite, making them instantly recognizable as Bisbee turquoise. The central stone measures 19.49 x 13.79 mm, framed by heavy silver drops and scalloped edges that highlight the stones’ natural beauty. The bracelet is unmarked, but tested sterling silver, crafted in the mid-20th century with the strong, traditional style for which Navajo silversmiths are admired.
The Lavender Pit closed in 1974, and its turquoise is among the most coveted American varieties. This cuff is substantial yet wearable, weighing 64.84 grams, and carries both historic and collector appeal.
