Eagle Dancer Kachina by Navajo artist F. Yazzie, dated 1979 and inscribed “Eagle 127,275” on the underside. Expertly hand-carved from wood and adorned with natural feathers, fur, leather fringe, and hand-painted detailing. The figure features a striking turquoise mask with yellow and red highlights, extended feathered wings, and bell and bead embellishments that evoke ceremonial movement.
This piece reflects Navajo artistry inspired by the Hopi Eagle Dancer spirit, symbolizing strength, courage, and spiritual ascension. A bold, expressive mid-century carving with fine attention to costume and motion.
