Nambe Aluminum Bowls #509 & #692 – Mid-Century Modern Pair
Pair of cast aluminum serving pieces by Nambe, models #509 and #692. Each displays the brand’s hallmark sculptural modernism with gently flowing, organic contours and a high-polish finish. The larger piece (#692, dated 1992) presents as a sleek, teardrop-shaped platter, while the smaller bowl (#509) features a soft, elliptical form. Together they capture the clean, timeless aesthetic that defines Nambe’s mid-century and contemporary design legacy.
Distinctive and versatile, these pieces work beautifully as table accents, serving vessels, or sculptural décor. The larger platter is monogrammed on the underside.
Condition
Good overall condition with surface scratches and signs of use. Both retain their form and finish; polishing has been left to the buyer’s preference. Underside markings are clearly legible.
