Description

Miniature Navajo Loom Sample, Klagetoh Pattern — Wood Frame

Miniature upright loom loom sample demonstrating the Navajo weaving tradition, worked in a Klagetoh pattern with a central diamond and stepped borders in black, burgundy, gray, and white. The rustic frame is lashed from natural branchwood; a heddle/shed stick and wooden batten remain in place with wool yarns, showing the process mid-weave. Likely made as a teaching/display model, it’s a compelling piece for textile collectors or Southwest décor, capturing the look of classic Klagetoh rugs in a compact format.

Condition
Good condition with no damage noted. Minor natural irregularities to the wood and lashings from handmade construction; the textile is tight with strong color.

Dimensions (inches)
16 x 15 x 3½ (H x W x D).
