Vintage Hammered Copper-Clad Console — Pine Frame, Artist’s Palette Form
Striking mid-century style copper-clad console table with a sculptural, artist’s-palette form. The top and lower shelf are wrapped in hand-hammered copper sheet, each carefully nailed and fitted over a solid pine frame. Subtle irregularities and visible rivets highlight the piece’s handcrafted quality, while the copper’s warm reddish-gold patina reflects decades of natural aging. Curved pine legs lend stability and enhance the flowing, organic silhouette.
Evoking the American Studio Craft movement of the 1950s–1970s, this table bridges art and function with its expressive, biomorphic shape. Perfect as an entryway console, sofa table, or sculptural accent in modern or eclectic interiors.
Condition
Good condition overall, with light surface wear and scuffing to the legs consistent with age. A previous repair to the backside leg is stable. Copper surfaces show natural oxidation and scattered marks that enhance the rich, aged patina. Structurally sound and visually distinctive.
