“Krazy Karen” Steel & Copper Figure Sculpture — Silver City Artist, 69”
Playful, expressive, and full of character, “Krazy Karen” is a welded steel and copper sculpture created by a Silver City, New Mexico artist. Standing approximately 69 inches tall, this mixed-media figure combines industrial forms with humor and imagination. The piece features spiral copper “bazongas,” movable copper bracelets, jingle-bob earrings, and a mesh “purse” filled with colorful glass elements. Wire “hair” and articulated components lend the work a lively, kinetic presence, while the rich rust-toned patina and oxidized copper give it earthy visual warmth.
Krazy Karen reflects the inventive folk-modern style often associated with Southwestern metal artisans, transforming reclaimed materials into an animated, almost totemic personality. A delightful conversation piece indoors or out, it comes with two removable ground stands for secure display.
Condition
Good condition overall, showing typical oxidation and light wear from outdoor display. Moving elements are secure and fully functional; surface patina consistent with age and exposure. Please review photos for full details.
