Charming hand-sculpted and hand-painted clay storyteller figure by Diane Lucero (D. Lucero) of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. The piece depicts a seated woman surrounded by five children, one holding a drum, capturing the warmth and spirit of the traditional Pueblo oral storytelling tradition. Painted in natural earth tones of tan, rust, black, and turquoise, the figure features finely rendered expressions and decorative details.
