19¼" Del Ángel Talavera Charger — Puebla, Mexico Hand-Painted
Brimming with color and history, this large hand-painted Talavera charger was created by the Del Ángel workshop of Puebla, Mexico — a region celebrated for its centuries-old tradition of tin-glazed majolica. Each brushstroke tells the story of Puebla’s artistic heritage, where Spanish, Moorish, and Indigenous influences merged to form the distinctive Talavera style.
The plate’s radiant medallion blooms with cobalt blue, coral, green, and golden yellow — all anchored by a luminous white glaze and classic floral border. At nearly twenty inches across, it commands attention whether displayed on a wall or tabletop. Signed “Del Ángel, Pue. Mex.” on the reverse, this piece reflects the precision and pride of Puebla’s finest ceramic artisans.
