Set of 4 Northwood Uranium Custard Glass Footed Dishes
This set of four reactive custard-glass footed dishes is attributed to the Northwood Glass Company, produced circa 1895–1925. Each dish features Northwood’s characteristic raised foliate motifs, scalloped rim, and gilt-accented scroll feet—hallmarks of the firm’s late Victorian and early Art Nouveau pressed glass designs. The creamy ivory custard glass fluoresces a vivid green under UV light, confirming uranium content and adding strong appeal for collectors of early uranium-reactive glass. Their elegant tripod bases and ornate detailing make them suitable for serving sweets or nuts, or as distinctive display accents within a curated antique glass collection.
A complete set of four is increasingly difficult to find, and these pieces offer both decorative charm and collectible historical value.
