Signed Hand-Painted Russian Nesting Dolls Set, 5 Pieces – Bright Red Floral
Charming five-piece set of traditional Russian nesting dolls, each hand-painted in vivid red with floral motifs on one side and winter scenes on the other. The largest doll is artist-signed “Черниенко” (Cherniyenko) on the base, suggesting production by an individual artisan rather than a factory line. The faces feature the classic wide-eyed style, accented with gold highlights and detailed brushwork.
Painted wood construction with strong, saturated colors gives the set an appealing display presence. The winter vignettes—ranging from snow-covered landscapes to a figure feeding a bird—add narrative charm and make the set especially collectible.
