Mexican Sunflower Light & Love-Bird Heart Candleholders in Green Glaze
This expressive hand-built Mexican ceramic pair brings together two of the most beloved symbols in regional folk art: the life-giving sunflower and the ever-faithful love birds. The sculptural candelabra, with its curling branches and radiant sunflower medallion, draws from mid-century interpretations of the Mexican Árbol de la Vida—objects traditionally meant to illuminate homes with both light and blessing. Its companion candlestick celebrates the corazón motif, a heart-shaped form rooted in devotional art and joyfully reimagined here with a perched pair of birds, a classic emblem of harmony and partnership in central Mexican pottery. Finished in a vivid verde bandera glaze and richly textured with applied details.
Condition
In good condition overall with typical handmade irregularities. The candelabra shows one minor chip to the center flower, noticeable only to a critical eye, and the candlestick has a 1" touched-up chip to the foot, both visible in photos. Glaze remains glossy and displays well.

Candelabra: 14.5" × 11" × 5"
