Le Creuset Vintage Flame Oval Dutch Oven — Size 31, Made in France

This vintage Le Creuset oval Dutch oven (size 31) is an early French-made example dating from the late 1960s to mid-1970s, featuring the desirable original Flame gradient finish. The dramatic transition from deep red to golden orange is characteristic of Le Creuset’s earlier production era and has since been discontinued, making survivors in good condition especially collectible. Cast in heavy enameled iron with a cream interior and fitted with an enameled matching lid, this piece displays classic mid-century styling including the full-enamel knob, narrow loop handles, and the impressed “Made in France 31” marking on the base.

A larger and less common size, it is prized for both utility and display. This oven offers outstanding heat retention for braises and roasts while also standing out as a bold vintage accent for the kitchen. A strong example of early Le Creuset craftsmanship.
