Electronic Music Vol. IV & V Turnabout LP Lot — TV-S 34301 & TV-S 34427
This Turnabout Records two-album set features Electronic Music, Vol. IV (TV-S 34301) and Electronic Music, Vol. V (TV-S 34427), both drawn from the Dartmouth International Electronic Music Competitions of 1968–1970. These compilations highlight pioneering electroacoustic works by influential composers including Oily W. Wilson, William Hellermann, Eugeniusz Rudnik, Pril Smiley, Bohdan Mazurek, Jean-Claude Risset, José Vicente Asuar, Peter Glushanok, and others. Recorded in leading studios such as the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, University of Illinois Experimental Music Studio, and Warsaw Polish Radio, the albums capture a formative era of global experimental and tape-based composition.
A significant pairing for collectors of early analog electronic music, academic studio history, and avant-garde sound exploration
