Description

Russian Santa Pair — Signed Handcrafted Figures, Wood & Plaster

Charming pair of signed Russian Santa figures, each crafted in a distinct folk-art style. The largest, signed Sabine 2008, appears to be made of plaster with a rich red glaze, tall curled hat, and textured beard—an expressive, whimsical take on the traditional holiday figure. The smaller Santa is hand-painted lightweight wood, signed in Cyrillic and marked from Sergiev Posad, a town known for its heritage of carved figurines. He carries a blue gift sack and lantern, with detailed scrollwork decorating his coat.

Together, they form a delightful duo of artisan holiday craftsmanship, ideal for collectors seeking unique, signed seasonal décor.

Condition

Good overall condition. The wooden Santa shows a repair to one hand, along with light surface wear to painted areas. The plaster Santa has minor glaze irregularities and small marks expected with age and handling. No major structural issues noted. Please review photos for full details.
