Sony PS-X800 Linear Tracking Biotracer Turntable + AT440MLa
Sony’s PS-X800 stands as one of the company’s most advanced vintage turntables—an electronically controlled, fully automatic linear-tracking system featuring Sony’s acclaimed Biotracer dynamically damped tonearm. Introduced in the early 1980s as a flagship audiophile model, the PS-X800 employs quartz-locked direct drive, optical tracking sensors, and microprocessor control to minimize tracking error and resonance. This example includes an Audio-Technica AT440MLa cartridge, a respected micro-line model known for detailed, low-distortion performance.
