Vintage Sterling Silver Stabilized Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace
This vintage Southwestern squash blossom necklace is crafted in sterling silver and features a classic single-strand design that transitions to a double strand at the front. The necklace is constructed with commercially made sterling silver beads and fitted with a traditional hook clasp. Six leaf-form squash blossoms, each measuring approximately 1" x 1/2", are set with stabilized turquoise cabochons displaying bright blue color with natural-style matrix.
An unmarked example consistent with Navajo jewelry traditions, this necklace dates to the mid–late 20th century. A central naja-style drop measures approximately 3 inches, providing strong visual balance and a traditional silhouette. With its substantial weight, complete squash blossom form, and well-proportioned layout, this piece offers excellent appeal for collectors and wear alike.
Condition
In good vintage condition overall, with visible surface wear and tarnish consistent with age. Polishing has been intentionally left to the buyer’s preference. One pendant shows a noticeable dent, as noted. Stones appear intact and secure, and the hook clasp functions properly.
