Pair of Antique Oak Pressback Dining Chairs – Light & Dark Finish
Pair of antique oak pressback dining chairs, circa early 1900s. Each features turned spindle backs and legs, shaped saddle seats, and elaborately carved crest rails—one with lattice and scroll motif, the other with stylized fan and leaf carving. Crafted from solid oak, these chairs display the classic charm and craftsmanship of late Victorian to early Colonial Revival furniture. The contrasting finishes—one dark walnut stain, the other natural golden oak—make for a striking and versatile pairing.
Beautiful as dining or accent seating, this set showcases the timeless appeal of American pressback chair design.
Condition
Good overall. The lighter chair is functional but slightly wobbly. The darker chair shows a visible split along the seat and some small edge chips as shown. Both display age-appropriate wear to the finish. Structurally stable and presentable for continued use or display.
